Wind 8x8 Chess Board

The "1x1" basics of the wind up to a Chess Board "8x8" to choose from

From experience, you know constant, shifting or oscillating winds, squalls, and lulls. Tactical Sailing winds, which we simulate on the play and regatta field, also have these characteristics. You can choose different wind variations at each level of difficulty, e.g. the "1x1 Wind" for beginners up to the "8x8 Wind" for professionals on chess board squares.

1. Easy: constant wind strength but a shifting wind direction in 3x3 Wind regions.
2. Medium: slowly pulsing wind in 6x6 Wind regions on the playing field.
3. Difficult: fast oscillating wind in 8x8 and 64 Wind regions on the playing field.
4. Complex: Tile wind pattern with different 8x8 Wind regions.

The Wind is Your Adversary

Julian Autenrieth:  "With an 8x8 wind, I didn’t win straightaway–only after the third time. There I had the lead the entire last leg =)"

Comparable to a chessboard, up to 64 wind patterns and levels of difficulty can be simulated in the game field. You can decide which level you want to play (easy, medium, difficult) yourself.

Julian Autenrieth: "The new game situations are very interesting. I had hoped it would be exactly like this, that every idea can turn into a game situation.”

Be the first to reach the finish line on an optimal course against the wind! Use the strength and weakness of your opponent - the wind! It turns and weaves, blows hard and pauses to draw in more air. You can observe your opponent from the field right from the beginning. Cleverly use its moody behavior to your advantage. Next, get an overview and decide  on a strategic plan right from the start. Then you can react and play out your tactical options in every situation. A comparison boat functions as a sparring partner you can use to measure yourself against.
