Florian Krauss - successful at the World Championship in the 420s!

Florian, together with Jannis Sümmchen, competed at the 420-World Championship, in the U17 classification, at Vilamoura in Portugal, this July. They were the best German team, ending at 6th place in the end result. They competed against a field of 66 participants from 18 Nations. However, the opponents from Greece (1st), France (2nd), and Spain (3rd) were not to be underestimated, and Florian and Jannis required full commitment and smart tactical sailing with every race.

Florian, from Yachtclub-Seeshaupt (YCSS) on Lake Starnberg, and Jannis from the Sailing Club Breitbrunn-Chiemsee (SCBC e.V.) have barely time to rest. They will be continuing their training for the 420-European-Championship in Galicia, Spain at the end of July. The Tactical Sailing Team are already crossing their fingers - and wish them a lot of fun and success in Galicia!

"The game is super to stay tactical fit!"

Said Florian about "Tactical Sailing", who is currently one of the most successful German youngsters from YCSS. He is particularly interested in our current "Tactical Sailing" program offers. "Especially with the new slalom function, you learn to react well and quickly to wind shifts. I really enjoy playing "Tactical Sailing" - it keeps me fit!" (see Feedback Florian Krauss)

Florian has been playing and training with "Tactical Sailing" for a long time now. At the "boot" in Düsseldorf he was always a "regular" at the Tactical Sailing stand, and "gambled" on the PC against his friends.

At home it is his father who is the sparring-partner on the PC - Florian's mother told us. The two cannot be ignored when, in the heat of the moment, they start combating with loud energetic shouts of "room" and "protest".
